"These engaging and informative lessons, presented by medical students from all over the country, are a hit! We have utilized them in our google classroom and the feedback and engagement from the students is very positive. They look forward to logging on and finding out which medical student is going to teach them something that day!

After they view the video, they answer questions we propose, then create a virtual "class discussion" by asking them to create their own questions to ask their peers. The questions they come up with are thoughtful, high-level and really  deepen their understanding of the topic. Participation in our class has significantly increased as well,  with students logging in more than once a day,  checking back to see if someone has answered their question.

Thanks so much for putting together this incredible remote learning platform. The timing is perfect."

-Harlem Teacher

"Thank you so much for putting this all together. The students are loving it and looking forward to the live connection every week. The students have so many questions about Covid 19,  and it will be wonderful for them to have direct access to the most up to date information."

-Bronx HS Bio Teacher

"When I was introduced to the idea of volunteers coming in to deliver lessons, I must admit, I gave it a second thought. After having the first communication with the volunteers, I was assured that I made the right decision and felt comfortable with the organization and giving it a try. Once in the actual classes, the volunteers came on time and as scheduled. The lessons they delivered were engaging for students. They were very friendly and approachable. The lessons were designed to the subject and appropriate for the grade level. The lines of communication were consistent and flexible.”

-DC Elementary Computer Science Teacher

"I very much admire and value the great information given to myself and my peers because it has really made me think about various different possibilities and options that I am now open to. Additionally, I really cherish the fact that you all took time out of

your day despite your personal responsibilities to give advice to us Freshmen and I hope you all know that this information and help will not be taken for granted, it will be good to very good use. Some of the information that I learned includes the fact that

when beginning med school it is not preferable to take on too many classes and extracurriculars all at once because it will result in a lot of pressure and possibly a decrease in your gpa. I also learned how crucial it is to constantly ask for help and be willing to take on extra office hours as well as attending tutoring sessions in order to deepen your understanding in your current courses and increase your chances of a passing grade in upcoming exams. Lastly, I also realized that a very great way to decrease the chances of catching coronavirus is to be extremely hygienic and take off any clothes that you wore outside and disinfect everything once you arrive home at the door."

-Student

"I want to thank both of you for the great presentation that you gave us today. Several of the students including myself are interested in pursuing a career in medicine. I learned that the first two years is all about learning about the body (anatomy),

listening to lectures and doing a lot of studying. The third year is the most exciting and I sort of agree with that because you get to go on the floor and see what it is really like. Sort of hands on experience."

-Bronx Student

"I greatly appreciate the astonishing information and advice you’ve given me and my peers on the process of your medical school journey. It was outstanding to receive such exceptional advice especially from the perspective of someone who often doubted themselves

and had several second thoughts. Also, through your lecture I was also able to realize that despite the few hardships and barriers that will be encountered throughout medical school, as long as you put in the effort and focus on your studies, balancing out

your personal/social life, sports, extracurriculars, and school work will come naturally to you overtime. Lastly, I am just very thankful for this advice that will greatly  benefit me in the future when attending medical school."

"I am writing this email to say thank you to all the presenters that presented throughout  our time on remote learning.  The presenters are very knowledgeable about their topics and willing to answer all questions.

Today was a really good meeting with all of the presenters.  I would like to say thank you to them for sharing so much important information in regards to our immune system, Covid and the MIT stem program.

I learned a lot about Covid 19 today in regards to people having the virus and not presenting any of the symptoms.  The MIT student president was very helpful in regards to the stem program and  I want to congratulate her on all her accomplishments."

-Brooklyn, NY Student

"I sincerely appreciate your support to our students during this challenging time. Thanks for being flexible and patient with time and breakout rooms on Zoom. VTT helps students build up their confidence in math and learning in general. "
